Motril Golf Course
The course lies on the shores of the Mediterranean and is strategically located right in the heart of Granada’s Costa Tropical. It is a level course dotted with pine trees.

Overall, not particularly difficult, except where lakes come into play. An unbelievable setting for a game of golf where you will thoroughly enjoy the contrast provided by the views of the sea and the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The family will enjoy the beach while you play golf.

NEWS FLASH

The Ayuntamiento in Motril has now given permission to change the Los Moriscos golf course into an 18 hole course. Los Moriscos has been open since 1974, being the first of only two courses in the province of Granada. The other course being on the edge of Granada itself and having 18 holes from its inception. As many people will know, the course in Motril is very busy for most of the year, as it provides golfing facilities for the many visitors in the summer, as well as those who come from northern Europe and the UK to spend the winter months here.
The problem at the course, is the queue on the first tee, when those completing the first nine holes join those waiting to begin their round, this problem will disappear when the course is 18 holes. For non-golfers, the problem is that to play 18 holes at Los Moriscos, a golfer has to play the nine holes twice, making the course congested.
Work is due to begin in October this year and will be completed by the end of summer next year. The first four holes should be completed by next spring, after which work will then start on the last five holes. The completed course will also include a new practice ground and the whole project will cost about 1.8 million euros.
There will be further relief when Salobreña gets its golf course/courses in the future.
