Apple Valley Village of Cassia has been awarded the Best Nursing Home designation by the US News & World Report.
The Short-Term Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, and Overall Rehabilitation Ratings from the Best Nursing Homes in the United States provide individuals and families with a starting point in their search for a nursing home.
“I am thrilled to be part of a team that leads by example and sees the work we do as a calling,” said Dave Shaw, administrator of Apple Valley Village.
To be recognized as one of the best nursing homes for 2021-2022 in the United States, a care community must have been “high performing” in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, or both. Of Minnesota’s 364 RN communities, 64 received an overall rating of five out of five and 31 received a “Best” rating.
Since the assessments began in 2009, the assessments have drawn on data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes.
Cassia’s mission is to foster the fullness of life of the elderly in the spirit of Christ’s love. In 2018, Augustana Care and Elim Care teamed up to form Cassia. To learn more about skilled nursing at Apple Valley Village in Cassia, visit applevalleycampus.org/contact/.
