Family identifies man killed in Citrus Height shooting

A man was killed and another taken to hospital in critical condition following a shooting at a Citrus Heights apartment complex on Monday night. KCRA 3, they heard a rapid burst of gunfire coming from the apartment complex. Police said officers found a 20-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in the driveway of the resort. It was he who was rushed to hospital. Another 20-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds was found in a nearby apartment and pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the two people knew each other. The deceased man’s family identified him as Jacob Lopez. They tell KCRA 3 that he was trying to make a name for himself in the music industry. Citrus Heights Police responded to reports of the shooting in the 6000 block of Birdcage Lane at Farmgate Way just before 11pm.

Residents told KCRA 3 they heard a rapid burst of gunfire coming from the apartment complex.
