Townhouse, known for providing locals and visitors alike with a wine-centric dining experience in Greenwich, Connecticut, offers guests a rare opportunity to wine and dine with Michael Honig of Honig Vineyard & Winery in Napa Valley, California, Thursday, May 19.and at 6:30 p.m.
Executive Chef Stephen Lewandowski will take guests on a culinary journey through a delicious reception and four-course dining experience with unexpected flavor combinations, while Michael Honig will discuss his family’s much-loved wines, explain tasting notes and the winemaking process.
Founded in 1964, Honig Vineyard & Winery produces high quality wines. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, this family-run estate is a leader in sustainability, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, producing award-winning Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Guests will mix and mingle as they enjoy crispy tuna poke, Maine Lobster Roll and white truffle potato croquette, served with Honig Sauvignon Blanc 2021 before being seated for dinner.
The dinner menu begins with Maine Lobster Butter Pouches, Spring Corn, Favas, Pancetta, and Thai-flavored Crèma, served with Honig Reserve Honig Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford 2019.
Then come the Parisian gnocchi, braised veal, porcini mushrooms, peas, black truffle, served with Cabernet Sauvigon Honig Napa Valley 2018.
The third course features Trumpet Mushroom Crusted Rack of Lamb, Sweet Carrot Mash, Sherwood Farms Spinach, Picked Rhubarb paired with Honig Cabernet Sauvignon Bartolucci 2017 and Honig Cabernet Sauvignon Bartolucci 2011.
The meal ends with a violet and raspberry mousse bar, served with a shortbread biscuit, dragon fruit glaze and pickled raspberries, enjoyed with the Honig Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc 2018.
