Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined a growing list of Premier League clubs interested in Rangers defender Calvin Bassey, according to reports.
Bassey, 22, has seen his stock rise in recent weeks after several impressive performances throughout the Scottish side’s historic run in the Europa League, which saw Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men beaten on penalties in the final by Eintracht Frankfurt. Although capable of playing at centre-back or left-back, Bassey excelled in the center of defense in the final. Where he recorded four clearances, two blocks, three interceptions, two tackles and seven duels won.
The daily record say Wolves have joined Premier League rivals Fulham, Aston Villa and Brentford in the hunt for the defender who are all “eager” to acquire his services this summer.

“We can’t let go of what happened two years ago when it’s difficult to replace a player like Raul (Jimenez). Nuno suffered the same thing two years ago.”
